**NEWS**
1. Green Mill Fundraiser Breakfast is this Saturday! Please be at the Green Mill by 6:30 AM ready to go! You can wear any BHS dance apparel...please DO NOT wear sandals....tennis shoes or closed toe shoe only!
REMEMBER to bring your $$ for tickets sold or any unsold tickets Saturday morning.

2. There are no summer practices this summer :( I know I know...I might be able to do a "Night at the Studio" sometime in July for you all to join me and just have fun dancing :) I will keep you posted

3. Bailey Windecker is organizing the parade this year! Please see the posts below for more information. 

4. SUMMER CAMP: If you are interested in attending our Private Just for Kix Camp July 25th & 26th, please call me ASAP to get registered. You CAN use your fundraising money for this camp, text me if you would like to know how much you have!

5. National Dance Day will be Saturday, July 27th!!!! Put it in your calendars and I will get out more information as we get closer :) WOOOHOOO!

DANCE TEAM UPDATE!

1. Our fundraiser breakfast is set for June 22! This is a GREAT way to raise money for your individual account. You can sell tickets even if you can't be there however, we need as many people as possible to work! Please pick up your tickets (each dancer must sell at least 10) from Amy Boe Lindahl tomorrow or Friday morning from 7:30-8:00am at the high school. 

2. First City dance studio is looking for a few volunteers to help with there show this Saturday, June 8th. Text me ASAP if you can help out! 

3. Check your email for a new summer/fall/winter dance calendar!

4. Our Bemidji private Just for Kix dance camp is coming up soon! (July 25-26) Please contact me if you are interested in attending. You can use your fundraising money to attend this camp!

Parent-Dancer Memo, 1/22/13

Parents and Dancers, 

Thank you to ALL who braved the cold weather at the Bagley Show last night to support the Bemidji Dance Teams!  I was very pleased with all the performances and the parent support!  We have a busy few weeks ahead of us with lots of important dates, please see below.

Also, PLEASE KEEP SELLING PROGRAM ADS!  Ads are due (with payment) NEXT WEEK!  Your dancer can bring them to me at practice anytime in before February 1st. Please see Amy DeLap or Amy Lindahl with questions.

Here are a few reminders for the coming weeks:

Thursday, January 24th: Jazz Performances at Home Basketball Game (JV Jazz at JV Game, Varsity Jazz at Varsity Game)

Friday, January 25th: NO PRACTICE

Saturday, January 26th: Varsity Practice Only 8:00am-11:00am

Monday, January 28th-February 1st: Practice as usual for Varsity teams, JV teams are welcome but not mandatory.  We will be preparing the Varsity teams for section competition. 

Friday, February 1st: Varsity Teams leave for Sections (JV does NOT travel with for Sections)

Saturday, February 2nd: SECTION TOURNAMENT at Elk River, MN 

Monday, February 4th: Friday, February 9th: Practice as usual for ALL teams-prepare for Dance Show!

Monday February 4th: Father-Daughter Dance Practice!  5:30-7:00PM at the High School (location to be determined)

Tuesday, February 5th: LAST Parent Meeting - 6:30pm in the Lumberjack room.  

Saturday, February 9th: DANCE SHOW!

Wednesday, February 13th: Uniform Turn-in/Team Voting/Pizza Party - High School, 3:30-5:00pm (More details to follow)

Tuesday, February 26th: Dance Team Pot-Luck Banquet - Calvary Lutheran Church-6:30 PM (More details to follow)

Lakeville South High School Dance Competition

Saturday, December 8^th 2012

Leaving:  Friday, January 11^th IMMEDIATELY after school- 3:20PM

We will be stopping on our way down to have dinner.  Please send food money with your dancer OR pack a lunch to eat on the bus.  We will have a few snacks on the bus as well.

Dancer cell phones will be left with the coaches from 10:00pm on Friday night and picked up on Saturday morning at 8:00am.

From north or south: Exiting interstate 35 at County Road 70.  Go east

on County Road 70 for 1.5 miles.  Turn left onto Jacquard Ave and school

will be on your left.        

SPECTATOR ENTRANCE: Please enter through the Main doors of LSHS.  Spectator fee is $7.00 for adults, $5.00 for students and senior citizens 62+.  5 and under will be free.  Tickets will go on sale at 10:00 am.  Doors open at 10:30am, competition begins at 11:00am.

CONCESSIONS: The Dance Team Booster Club is hosting the concession stands, which will be located in the cafeteria/commons.  Great gifts and other novelty items will also be for sale throughout the day. No outside food or beverage is allowed by spectators or dancers.

No wall signs or balloons may be brought into the gymnasium by teams or spectators.

We will probably stop on our way home for a quick dinner to eat on the bus.  We should be home between 11:00pm and 12:00am-midnight, Saturday night.

Please remember if your daughter is not riding the bus home, you will need to sign her out with me at the competition.  If she needs to ride home with someone other than you, her guardian, you must get that approved with the activities office before we leave on Friday!
